Oregon Lightning Football Continues on the Road to Nashville for Week 5 Matchup This Saturday
Redmond, OR — May 6th, 2026
The Oregon Lightning (1–2) continues its Midwest road stretch this week as they travel to Clarksville, Tennessee for a Week 5 showdown against the Nashville Kats (2–1). Saturday’s matchup marks Oregon’s second-straight away game, with kickoff scheduled for 2:00 PM Pacific Time on The Home Team Network and Arena Football One's YouTube channel.
This will be the third meeting between the Lightning and the Kats in franchise history, with Nashville winning the series 2-0 in 2025. Nashville enters Week 5 averaging 53 points per game, tops in the AF1. Kats quarterback #17 Tyler Kulka ranks among the league’s top passers with 14 touchdown throws and 726 yards in the air, while wide receiver #1 Malik Honeycutt is a premier target with six receiving touchdowns and 303 catch yards through three games.
Oregon arrives in Clarksville looking to build on the offensive spark shown in Michigan. Three wide-outs- #1 Kris Lewis, #6 Donovan Ollie, and #10 Angelo Grose enter Week 5 with three touchdowns apiece through three contests. Quarterback #3 Robert McCoy Jr. added a major boost in Week 4, throwing three second-half touchdowns and helping Oregon close the gap in a competitive 46–36 finish.
Defensively, the Lightning continues to be anchored by linebacker #9 Caden Campioleti, who remains among the AF1’s most active tacklers and a consistent presence in the box. Oregon’s defense will be tested by a Nashville offense that thrives on tempo, spacing, and vertical shots downfield.
Saturday’s cross-conference matchup provides an important opportunity for both teams as they look to climb the AF1 standings heading into mid-May. A win would bring Oregon back to .500 before returning home for Cascade Clash IV on May 16th against Washington.
Fans traveling to Clarksville can purchase tickets through the Nashville Kats ticketing portal or at the F&M Bank Arena box office. Supporters across Oregon can stream the game live on The Home Team Network and AF1 YouTube channel, with local watch parties available at partner locations in Redmond and Bend.
