ARENA FOOTBALL ONE (AF1) IMPLEMENTS STRATEGIC SCHEDULE UPDATE TO ENSURE STRONG FINISH TO 2026 SEASON

ALBANY, NY – Arena Football One (AF1) today announced a series of strategic schedule updates for the remainder of the 2026 season, reinforcing the league’s commitment to competitive balance, operational excellence, and delivering a complete, high-quality experience for players, teams, partners, and fans.

Following the termination of the Oregon Lightning, AF1 leadership and the league’s scheduling committee acted swiftly to evaluate the remaining schedule and implement adjustments designed to preserve the integrity of the regular season while minimizing disruption to participating clubs.

As part of these updates, the previously awarded forfeit victory to the Kentucky Barrels will remain official. The league has finalized the following schedule modifications for Weeks 11 through 13:

Week 11: The Kentucky Barrels will travel to Washington to face the Wolfpack on Saturday, June 20 at 9:00 PM EST.
Week 12: The scheduled matchup between the Albany Firebirds and Kentucky Barrels has been canceled, resulting in a bye week for both organizations.
Week 13: The Albany Firebirds will travel to Beaumont to face the Renegades on Sunday, July 5 at 6:00 PM EST.
Week 14: The Michigan Arsenal will travel to Oceanside to face the Bombers on Friday, July 10 at 10:00 PM EST

The league believes these modifications provide the most balanced path forward while ensuring meaningful competition and operational continuity through the conclusion of the regular season.

Fans holding tickets for affected games will receive direct communication from their respective team box offices regarding available options and next steps. All remaining games will continue to be broadcast through AF1’s official media partners, providing fans with uninterrupted access to league action throughout the season.
